Jacobism 5.0

Hello Readers! I hope you have had a fantastic week. I wanted to let all my Caramel winners know that they should be receiving their caramels any day now! Please let me know what you think of them!

I also wanted to share a short story about Jacob. I know we all have certain things that absolutely drive us crazy for really no reason at all. For example, my sister, Jordan, HATES when someone pops their gum or makes any type of repeated tapping noise. Some people hate when others scrape their nails on a chalkboard or when people say “ain’t”. (Side note: that last one is totally me, I hate that word!!) Some of these annoyances stem from a lack of manners or education or even self-awareness. By self-awareness I mean that some people do not realize their actions are secretly driving you mad! That being said, once you are with the same person for a long time (Jacob and I are working on 12 years this year) you tend to notice what some would label as “Flaws”. Being with someone for 12 years equates to finding LOTS of flaws. Some of these can be overlooked or even lovingly corrected with a little guidance, but some of these flaws continue to linger before you finally have a conniption.

I, luckily, caught one of these rare instances on camera. You see, Jacob refuses to change the toilet paper roll, EVER. I know it is not that big of a deal, but it drives me crazy. I am guessing it is a slight case of OCD that causes this reaction. I have also realized that it must be a genetic flaw in his family because EVERY time I go to his parent’s house I have to change the roll there as well. EVERY TIME, true story! I haven’t narrowed down what causes this genetic defect, but I am researching the possibilities in order to save our potential offspring from having this mutation.

This video was shot earlier this year, but I am just now getting around to posting it. If you notice in the video a slight confused look on Jacob’s face. I am assuming the look comes from a feeling of being uncomfortable as this is a new act to him. Please also note that Milo is in there learning from this tutorial as well. Please also ignore my voice as I had no clue I sounded so whiny on tape. I hope I don’t sound like this in person, if I do sound like this, I am thankful that you just read my blog and not hear it aloud! I hope you also see the look of sheer accomplishment on Jacob's face once he changed the roll all by himself! I was so proud. . . But I am disappointed to announce that since this video Jacob has regressed. He is still not changing the roll after repeated requests, both friendly and angry. I just hope that with time and enough lectures that he will begin changing the flippin' roll! Love ya Jake!

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!
